Travel to Vienna

From Vienna International Airport (VIE) at Schwechat, there are several ways to reach the city centre.

Taxi. Expect fares of EUR 30.- or more.
CAT, the City Airport Train, a new comfortable nonstop train (every 30 minutes, travel time 16 minutes) to the Vienna Centre Station (Landstraße). EUR10.-
Schnellbahn S7, the regular train just behind the CAT entrance (every 30 minutes, travel time 24 minutes) to the Vienna Centre Station (Landstraße). EUR3.60
Vienna City Airport Bus. Several direct bus lines to a few destinations in Vienna. Destination Schwedenplatz is the station closest to centre. EUR7.-

Public Transport in Vienna

Vienna has a good system of public transportation, consisting of Subways ("U-Bahn"), tramways, and buses all to be used with tickets allowing the change of lines.
